Financial Performance Survey

Two of the award categories require entrants to respond to a secure web-based survey, conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, to assess the agency’s financial performance. The responses to the questions will be benchmarked and scored, forming part of the award assessment criteria.

The award categories covered by the PwC secure survey are:

Entrants will need to answer a number of fields, by the close of entries at 5pm on Tuesday 4 August 2009. PwC will benchmark each agency, with that score added to the scores from the other criteria in order for the FEMA Judges to determine a winner for the above award categories.

The financial information submitted to PwC will not be disclosed to the FEMA Judging Panel or other third parties. A simple score for each agency will be provided.

PwC stands by its record of integrity in safeguarding such information, and are willing to provide each participant a report showing their individually reported data compared to the average on request. PwC will take into account any restrictions on financial reporting imposed on the agency but a lack of information recorded here will inevitably impact on the overall score.

In order to safeguard the integrity of information supporting the FEMA process, FEMA reserves the right to request an audit to be conducted by PwC of financial performance information submitted as part of the survey.
